Dolphins to Announce New Stadium Name Friday
I’m a long time Miami Dolphins fan, but the last decade or so I might as well have been a Bengals or Browns fan because we have been that much of a joke!!!
Wildcat Gimmick Offense that was stuffed down our throat by a real defense in the Playoffs, Cam Cameron as a Head Coach, The Nick-Traitor, Midget Corner Backs as #1 draft picks are just a few of the Colossal mistakes the Phins have made over the last few years but now Friday they plan to announce a new stadium name. Landshark Pool, anyone? Landshark Beer and Jimmy Buffett are the new partners of the Miami Dolphins, seriously, was Pollo Tropical taken by a Mexican Soccer Team? A Beer Company owned by Jimmy Buffett is that the best we can do?? WOW! I wonder what the payoff for that naming rights contract was, a case of Landshark and perhaps a couple of Cheeseburgers in Paradise???
Called me old fashioned, which I’m not, but to me that Stadium will always be Joe Robbie Stadium, however, I had come to Terms and in fact enjoyed the name Dolphins Stadium for many reasons, but most importantly that it sent the signal we’re so cool that we don’t need a cheesy name on our building, well that era is certainly over. Landshark really?, well at least Dolphins beat the crap out of Sharks…
FYI, I always thought that “The Tank” would be a great nickname for that Stadium, ie. The Tank Where Dolphins Swim!!! Just Sayin’…
